Melva Heinrich, Director of Community & Resource Integration

Melva oversees all services in the satellite office which include independent living services, advocacy, information, and referral services for people with disabilities. She also works closely with the Personal Assistance Services staff providing in-home care services to ensure people with disabilities and seniors can live independently in their own homes. Melva and her team have developed a nationally known “purchase of service” transportation program that provides services throughout the Magic Valley.  Melva has been an advocate for people with disabilities by working with local cities, counties, and national organizations promoting equal access to transportation for all people.

Melva serves on board of the Idaho State Independent Living Council (SILC) and is also on the board of the Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL). In July of 2015, she received the Region X Advocate of the Year award by the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL).

She has been working in the disability community for 27 years and with LINC for 24 years.
