Jess Raschke, Independent Living Specialist; ext. 217

Jess joined LINC in 2022 after moving from Southeast Alaska where she worked at another Center for Independent Living as their Long-Term Supports Specialist and Outdoor Recreation Coordinator. Before transitioning full time into the nonprofit field, she developed a career working as a pre-certified sign language interpreter in her home state of Colorado. Through her time interpreting, she has had the opportunity to volunteer for organizations like the National Sports Center for the Disabled, Rocky Mountain Deaf School, and Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment (DOVE). Jess is passionate about systems advocacy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, as well as an associate degree in Interpreter Preparation.

In her free time she loves to camp in the mountains, enjoys hiking and kayaking, traveling to new places, learning new hobbies, and making jewelry. She lives with her partner, Erik, and two rescue pups.
