Participate in this study whose goal is to examine the existence of and reasons for barriers to housing choice. Housing choice refers to the right to live where we choose and can afford guaranteed under the Fair Housing Act.
IHFA and Idaho Commerce are working together on the 2021 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, a five-year snapshot of issues relating to housing, community and economic access and equity. This study is a requirement tied to Idaho’s use of federal funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The findings and recommendations will inform our use of those funds, mainly in non-entitlement (balance of state) cities and counties.
This survey is meant for people who work in the fields of housing and community development, economic development, lending, social services, fair housing, civil rights and any other field directly or indirectly related to the factors which influence housing choice*. Because this study focused on the state’s smaller cities and rural areas, we are especially interested in hearing from people who work in these communities. We also welcome input on statewide issues that affect protected classes throughout the state, without regard to where they live.
If you need translation of the survey into a language other than English or a reasonable accommodation to take the survey, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 970-880-1415 x102.
