Kelli Romine, WIP-C, ACRE, ADA Coordinator
Vocational Services Program Manager
Living Independence Network Corporation
We are excited to announce that LINC (Living Independence Network Corporation) has become an official provider for the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Ticket to Work Program. This new role strengthens LINC’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, offering them more resources to pursue meaningful employment and achieve greater financial independence.
What Is the Ticket to Work Program? The Ticket to Work Program is a free and voluntary program that helps Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries return to work or gain new employment without losing their benefits, all while allowing them to gradually transition to the workforce.
As a Ticket to Work provider, LINC will now serve as an Employment Network (EN), supporting individuals in Idaho who are interested in reentering the workforce. LINC will offer personalized services to meet the unique needs of each individual, including:
Career counseling and goal-setting
Job search assistance, and job skill preparation
Long-term ongoing employment support
Social Security Work Incentive Advisement
Financial Services / Resources
The Ticket to Work Program is available to those aged 18-64 who receives SSDI or SSI due to a disability. By working with LINC, participants will have access to a network of services that help them explore career options, prepare for work, and eventually enter or reenter the workforce. The program also offers protections, such as keeping benefits during the transition phase, allowing individuals to test their ability to work without fear of immediate benefit loss.
If you or someone you know is receiving SSDI or SSI benefits and is interested in returning to work, LINC is here to help. As a trusted community resource with decades of experience advocating for people with disabilities, we are excited to offer personalized employment support through the Ticket to Work Program.
