Kelly Buckland

Our Boise office includes a large conference and training space named after LINC's first Executive Director, Kelly Buckland. Kelly, originally from a farming community in Eastern Idaho, has been a champion of disability rights for decades, serving as the first Executive Director of the Idaho State Independent Living Council, and as the Executive Director of the National Council on Independent Living. Most recently, Kelly is serving as a Disability Advisor in the Office of the Assistant Secretary on Policy at the Department of Transportation. Watch this interview with Kelly to learn more about his history of advocacy and read this blog post on his work improving accessibility in public transportation.
