Personal Assistance Services (PAS) Relations Private Pay Specialist
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $14.42- $18.27
Supervisors: PAS Director

Position Objective

The PAS Relations Private Pay Specialist is the point of contact for all prospective PAs, Employers and Consumers who are interested in the Private Pay Program. The PAS Relations Private Pay Specialist is an expert in LINC’s private pay model of service.  The PAS Relations Private Pay Specialist is knowledgeable about LINC PAS policies and procedures around the Private Pay program as they directly affect either PA, Employer or Consumer and relays all information accurately and tailored to the communication style of the individual. The PAS Relations Private Pay Specialist will contribute to a positive working environment by providing meticulous attention to detail, a readiness to help others (in and outside of the office), and a willingness to do what needs to be done. The PAS Relations Private Pay Specialist will have a strong commitment to LINC’s mission and values.


The duties include but not necessarily limited to:

  • Manage employer private pay care
    • Develop new and growing relationships with key referral sources including: insurance companies,hospital discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physician, for private pay home care
    • Developing referrals for private pay home care
    • Conduct home visit intakes with new or potential Employers.
    • Complete private pay plan of care with employer to support individual needs
    • Maintain black binder and Wizard files
  • Manage Personal Assistant (PA)  private pay coordination
    • Develop new PA recruitment strategies and training for private pay program
    • Understand the unique personality of PA (strengths and weaknesses)
    • Provide options via the PA registry
    • Maintain/Update PA paper and Wizard files
  • Manage Quality Assurance for PAs/Employer/Consumer in Private pay option
    • Quarterly phone calls to Employer/Consumer
    • Follow up with PA/Employer/Consumer about timesheet tasks and proper completion of timesheet
    • Home Visits to conduct assessment of PA for follow proper procedures/care plan
  • Assist Billing Manager in marketing, sales and outreach efforts for the Private Pay Program. 
  • Assist Billing Manager in negotiating contract rates with insurance companies.
  • Assist Billing Manager with timesheet education and address issues prior to submission
  • Yearly Audits on Black Binders, PA files and Wizard files
  • Phone calls and letters of termination to Employers/Consumers
  • Provide outreach at various events, include tabling a booth or speaking with various referral sources in the community, as needed

Customer Service

  • Create an environment where team members can contribute their best work through providing a positive, helpful, and courteous experience in all interactions with LINC
  • Help promote a positive relationship between community members and LINC team members
  • Demonstrate quality customer service while addressing participant inquires over the phone and in person
  • Direct community member inquiries and questions to the appropriate team member in a timely, accurate, and considerate manner according to LINC policy and program procedures
  • Work closely with all LINC team members to provide a quality participant experience across programs

Other Duties

  • Have good knowledge of all LINC programs and services to provide information and referral services
  • Maintain a positive and open dialogue with team members and Supervisors
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers and computer programs as job duties require
  • Have good knowledge of Health and Welfare appropriate policies, such as Adult Protection and Mental Health Guidelines
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisors
